Denver Stay At Home EFY Day 3 (July 13th)

Day 3 started with beautiful sunshine and the youth excited about the days coming activities.

We began with the normal devotionals and scripture study and counselor meetings with Company Gospel Study.  Interesting to note that the desired location for these breakouts is on the sidewalk or grass....

From the Company Gospel Study we moved into the cultural hall for a "Morningside" devotional from our Session Director Bro. Barker.  The morningside started with "Tattle Telling" on your company members.  Youth were selected to come forward and acknowledge someone in their company that did a good deed during the previous day.  Below are a couple pictures of the "Tattle Tellers" on the stage and the good doer in the congregation...

The good doer is the young man with the blue lanyard.
From "Tattle Telling" we moved right into another message from our Session Director Brother Barker.

Following his message we moved into four rotations of messages from our Institute teachers Bro. Anderson, Bro. Goss and Bro. Palmer.

Bro. Anderson

We had two rotations and then walked up to Thunder Ridge for Lunch...taco's and fruit smoothies...yum yum!!!!!!  The daily menu is posted for the kids to see and they really line up for the food....

The youth then returned to another two rotations through our instructors.  They were again totally focused on what the teachers taught!

After the rotations there was an hour of free time to study or join the EFY Choir or tryout for soloist or a reading assignment.  I've got to tell you again that these counselors are fantastic.  They are encouraging, engaging and everything else good you can think of...

The above two photos are of the choir rehearsing lead by Abby...

Here's Dakota getting ready to hear a vocal audition...

One of our young men auditioning to be a soloist...he was fantastic!

If you can't sing, how about signing up to be one of our readers....

We then went up for dinner and games on the practice soccer fields.  The youth gathered in companies and created banners and company cheers.  Below are a number of photo's from this event....

We were forced off the field by a lightening storm so we went into the cultural hall and completed the activities.  By then it was past 8pm and time for Company and Counselor Devotional, scripture study and journal writing.  The day ended as the past two have with the rain falling but from the time the youth come out of the building to when the parking lot is empty takes only about 10 minutes!  We'll chat again this evening or Friday.

Thanks,  Tom
