Denver Stay At Home EFY Day 5 (July 15th)

Day 5 started again with the youth in their companies receiving instruction from their counselors.  There was a funny feeling across the group knowing that Friday was the last day!  Lots of group hugging going on!

From the company meetings everyone moved into the final Director Morningside with Bro. & Sis. Barker.  As normal, it was inspiring and emotional.  The youth got to "Tattle Tell" on their friends as shown below:

After the Morningside event there was an hour of 20 minute rotations where the youth got to select from six or seven breakout discussion on the various points in "For the Strength of Youth".  Wow!!!! were the kids focused during these breakouts.  The counselor staff gave the presentations and were absolutely fantastic!  I've got to tell you we were really blessed.  The group of counselors were matter of fact and there was no grey in their presentations.  It was this is the direction, follow it!  No walking next to the cliff!

Then off to lunch for pizza!  Yum Yum!

After lunch the kids were given instruction on service and helped clean the Stake Center and Foothills Canyon buildings.  They did a great job and were so open for helping anywhere needed.

Gregor Kreutz (Blue Stripes) just finished telling all the girls at the EFY how beautiful they were and that he appreciated their modesty!  How do you win friends and influence people?

President Pingree from the Denver Stake came and fellowshipped with the youth!

From about 2:30pm to 4pm the had free-time to make "Thank You" cards (big 22" by 28") for a number of folks that had helped them.  They also spent time getting photo's and addresses from their new found friends.  There were a lot of tears but they had monster fun during this session.  They were running all over the cultural hall making sure that none of their friends got missed.

The above picture tells a thousand words doesn't it?

Dinner at 4pm came early but no one seemed to mind.

Then the final dance from 5pm to 7pm.  They had a ton of fun at this dance!  400 friends together for fun!

Even Kwin Willis one of our two "EFY Coordinators" got out and shook his legs out a little!  Sure does beat the alternative pictured below....

Back to the dance....

At 7pm there was a brief slideshow showing photos of the week.  Lots of yelling and screaming!  The slideshow was followed by a great session given by Bro. Barker on "Taking It Home".  How do they take what they've learned back home to their families, YM/YW groups and personal lives.

I lost these two sisters names...one was Jenson (Signing I believe).  We owe them both big time!  They were there every hour and made it possible so that "the one" could enjoy EFY.  If someone knows the names, please post on the blog and I'll update.  They deserve it!

The youth got to tell everyone how they were going to "Take it Home"

After the "Taking it Home" session, the youth broke into their final Company Devotional and Prayer Meeting.  They then wrapped it up and the event concluded.
