Denver Stay At Home EFY Day 4 (July 14th)

Day 4 started with the youth dressed in their Sunday clothes.  The dress really set the tone for the day.  Here are the companies in the Sunday best....note, while taking these photos and older gentleman walking his dog yelled out to me, "this is the best looking group of youth I've ever seen!"...amen!

Following the standard Devotional and Company Gospel Study the youth moved into groups for gospel lessons.  They separated by gender and while Brother and Sister Barker taught the young men, the young ladies were in three different sessions where they studied the Family Proclamation.  Then they reversed positions and the young ladies were taught by Brother and Sister Barker and the young men were in two different sessions on the Family Proclamation where they did skits and roll play.  During the sessions with Brother and Sister Barker there were musical presentations and the group sang the EFY medley.  Was I blessed to hear them sing!  I had to leave...couldn't take the tears!

After these sessions it was off to lunch (no rain this trip!) where some had to grab and eat on the run so that they could practice for the variety or music presentations.

The variety show came right after lunch and it was fantastic.  What talented youth we have...

We did pause prior to the Variety Show for acknowledgement of birthdays by Sister Barker...

Have you ever seen 400 youth singing "Popcorn Poppin"?

After the variety show it was back (Yes, in the rain) to the cafeteria for dinner where we were joined by Brent Craig of the Highlands Ranch Ward who made arrangements for all the food.  President Ralph Walker of the Highlands Ranch Stake also joined for dinner where he chatted with everyone!

From the dinner hall back down to the Chapel for the Musical program and fireside by Bro. and Sis. Barker.  Wow was this uplifting.  It included video clips from our church leaders and instruction via music from our youth.
